A brilliant second half display by St Paul's secured the North Armagh under 14 title last Wednesday night at Davitt Park .
They won against a determined Clann Eireann side who looked on their way to victory having led 2-1 to 0-2 in the early stage
s of the second half.
Both sides played very cautiously in the opening period, with St Paul's in particular squandering several scoring opportunites but the young Saints side tore up the coaching manual before the end, to play from their hearts which resulted in a free-flowing three points victory.
Jason McCaughley was first on the scoresheet for the Clanns on 15 minutes which was soon followed by a St Paul's point from Caolan McCann.
Aaron Rogers gave St Paul's a narrow advantage before the break.
At the start of the second half Clann Eireann made what looked like a winning move. Aaron Casey broke through the St Paul's defence to beat Jason McAreavey with a great finish on 34 minutes.
When Jack Wilson struck the Clanns’ second goal 10 minutes later St Paul's had a real battle on their hands.
The last quarter, however, belonged to the winners. Kieran Kemp was a revelation in St Paul’s late surge, shooting three points before the end with other scores coming from Matthew Lowe, Caolan Doyle, Anton O'Hanlon, Brian McCann and Steven Tolan.
