I wasn't amused. It was an embarrassingly bad performance once again.
We got off to an atrocious start with people not doing their jobs. The corner was badly defended and people weren’t on the post who were delegated to be there. Basically the instructions weren’t carried out at all but that’s been the story over the l
ast couple of months.

If you concede after two minutes you’re always going to be chasing the game and that’s the way it was. We didn’t deserve to get any more out of it basically due to bad defending. There wasn’t enough desire, urgency or commitment either and there were a lot of things lacking.

We nearly had a team standing outside the changing room I must remember with seven or eight senior players unavailable. However, we still had a strong squad of players out there and they should have done better. They let themselves down, they let me and my staff down and above all they let our supporters down who pay good hard money to come and watch that.

I’m not deflecting my responsibility or trying to patronise anyone by saying that but I shoot from the hip and I take it badly when my team perform like that.

But it’s coming towards the end of the season now and some players have reached the end of the road as far as I’m concerned. I have a rough idea in my mind of who I’ll be letting out at the end of the season. We have 13-14 players coming out of contract and maybe half of those won’t be renewed.

My intentions always have been looking to the longer term and looking to bringing more younger lads into my squad and looking to have a full squad of 16-18 players topped up with the younger lads.
