FOLLOWING recent discussions between Irish Premiership clubs and the league's officials, it has been decided that the weekly wages of referees will rise from £70 to £120 this season. Also the fees of the referee's assistants have rose from £35 per match to £60.
On top of this, the wages of the Fourth Officials at Premiership games are no longer to be paid by the IFA and so clubs will now have to fork out a total of £300 per match at a time when many team’s finances are not a pretty sight.
