GLENAVON gaffer, Marty Quinn will, this week, complete his UEFA Pro License, enabling the club to participate in European competition, if the chance were to come around.
“It’s a necessary evil because if and when we go to the Irish Cup Final and win it, we will have qualified for Europe and if I’m not in the scheme, the club can’t go to Europe,” he told the ‘MAIL.’
“I got my certificate for my A License on Friday and it’s now all systems go again for another week to get my Pro License.
“A lot of the stuff isn’t that suitable for Irish League football but it gives you an insight into what goes on. The courses are taken by different people at different levels of sport and there are really only two or three football people involved. We were only out on the pitch once during last week. It was mostly lectures and this week is much the same, really.”
