St Paul's win under 13 title

THE Year 8 footballers of St Paul's Junior High School put the perfect end on the sporting year for the Francis Street school by collecting the Armagh Vocational Schools' Under 13 title after going through the competition undefeated.
On their way to the title they defeated St Paul’s, Bessbrook, St Patrick’s, Keady, St Joseph’s, Crossmaglen before winning their final game against St Patrick’s, Armagh.

The Armagh School got their revenge however in the final of the Armagh Iarbun
scoileanna ‘Blitz’ when they defeated the Lurgan side by five points.

The captain of the Lurgan side, Niall O’Neill, provided a link with the past as his father, Martin, was full forward on the first St Paul’s side to win the Under 13 Championship back in 1977.
