LURGAN boxer is currently in training for his next fight scheduled for March 27 in upstate New York.
His opponent in Ploughkeepsie will be American Jason Thompson.

And hopefully this will lead to Stephen taking a big step forward in his professional career.

This comes after a recent disappointment when he thought he had a shot at the Commonwealth welterweight title but was let down, for the second time, when champion John O’Donnell did not take the fight.

Now Stephen is looking forward to his America trip and hopefully, as the song says, “if he can make it there, he can make it anywhere.”
