Waringstown are NI champions

THE Northern Ireland final of the Asda Kwik Cricket competition featuring 140 year six boys and girls was held in Belfast.
Waringstown were crowned cxhampions and will progress onto the national stage which will take place on July 14 at Grace Road, and hopefully become the 2008 Asda Kwik Cricket Champions.
The Northern Ireland final was supported by Ryan Eagelson, former Irish International, who signed autographs, took part in the presentation, and umpired the final.
The schools were split into four groups. The four winning teams from the first and second rounds progressed into the semi-final stage with the final taking place between Artigavan and Waringstown.
Waringstown were eventually crowned champions of Northern Ireland and progress to the national stage.
The national final will be supported by a member of the England Team.
