Award for Tony

PRIOR to kick-off on Saturday Glenavon made a special presentation to Tony Grant to recognise his 100th goal for Glenavon.

He is one of only eight players to achieve the feat in the post war period – Jimmy Jones 517, Denis Guy 295, Stephen McBride 250, Stewart Campbell 250, Glenn Ferguson 227, Jackie Denver 197 and Billy Johnston 167 are the others.

The presentation was made by Glenavon Chairman Adrian Teer along with Dr Stephen Best, the longest serving member of the backroom team, who was in post during Tony’s first spell at the club
