Beaten in final

CRAIGAVON Squash Club travelled to Ballyearl Leisure Centre to take on league leadrs Nortel in the final of the Ulster Plate.

Recent history hadn’t been kind to the locals with a series of appearances in the final all ending in defeat and unfortunately the outcome was the same this time.

Craigavon fielded a second string team which put up a spirited display on the night.

Neil Copeland was first on court and was involved in the tightest game of the night, eventually losing 3-1.

Nathan Wilkinson, Alan Reavie and David Herron then battled hard against their opponents, most of whom had Premier league experience, but ultimately lost 3-0.

Craigavon lost by 12 games to 1 on the night.

The league resumes with a game at home to Lisburn Racquets
