Call for fans to back donor plea
SPORTS fans have been asked to support a drive to recruit 400 or more new blood donors in Lurgan.
The initiative is being promoted by the Mail's Gaelic Games correspondent Eugene Creaney in association with Craigavon Borough Council's Lurgan 400 group.
Over the coming weeks local people will be asked to complete a donor card which will be available from Reid’s Bar in Edward Street while local sports clubs will also be approached to help with the initiative.
Eugene Creaney said: “It would be great to get 400 new donors to celebrate the town’s 400th birthday.”
