The only substanial Lurgan response arrived thanks to Godbole and Peter Maxwell on 49 for a fifth-wicket partnership.

Maxwell was caught for 16, with Haire out next on 13 and Godbole’s innings ending at 35.

Kris Lyness’ quickfire 20 lifted the Lurgan score into the three-figure range as all-out for 106 by 34 overs.

Lyness claimed an early Instonians wicket but the visitors held significant scoring power to move past the Lurgan challenge.
