It’s a classic for Lurgan
With 34 sponsors and over 80 players, this year’s 11th annual Lurgan Cricket Club Classic Golf event turned out to be the most successful.
With Lurgan Golf Club looking fantastic and the weather sunny but breezy, it was Gary McCullough who emerged victorious, winning the McDowell Cup in scoring 40 points over the 18 holes, just pipping Nigel Girvan and Alex Denver who both had 39 points.
Debbie McCollum clinched the ladies prize on 34 points with Julie Jordan runner up. Tom Douglas’s team were the winners of the team competition hitting 96 points while Keith Percy hit the longest drive of the day on the 18th and Paul Dickson won the closest to the pin prize.
