LURGAN 11 BALLYNAHINCH 32
LURGAN went out of the Powerade Towns Cup last Saturday.
But not without a spirited display against their more senior opponents Ballynahinch Seconds.
Despite having six regulars either injured or unavailable they gave a gutsy performance after going behind 10-0 with only ten minutes on the board.
Things got worse when they lost their flanker Michael Campbell with a broken ankle.
However Lurgan stood up to the task and showed what character and spirit there is in the club.
Their try scorer was Marty Follis and Stephen Nolan converted six points.
The scoreline finished 32-11 but could have been closer due to an unfortunate knock on close to the line.
Lurgan Seconds also lost away at Ballymoney to the league leaders 16-0.
Lurgan are back into their league campaign this Saturday when they visit B.H.S.F.P.
The seonds have no match, having receive a bye in the Forster Cup.
