Adam nets hat-trick

Lurgan Town MU U14’s secured a narrow derby win against Craigavon City at Lismore.

Lurgan started the better with Adam Hall, Adam Loughran and Jack O’Neill all going close, however Craigavon took the lead when they scored via a headed goal from a corner kick.

It took Lurgan a few minutes to get going after this setback but from an Adam Craig corner kick Adam Loughran levelled as his shot flew beyond the keeper.

Lurgan make a couple of changes at the break and within minutes of coming on Morgan Quinn won a tackle, played the ball to Adam Hall who in turn played Adam Loughran through on goal and he scored to give Lurgan the lead. Within minutes of giving Lurgan the lead Adam scored his hat-trick when he volleyed home after great wing play from Jason Benson. Lurgan kept piling the pressure on but then with five minutes left Craigavon got a second goal.

Sand-out players were Adam Craig, Jason Benson and Adam Loughran who now takes his season’s goalscoring tally to 12.
