Mark Farren. INLM02-728.

MARK Farren is delighted to get back playing football again after making his Glenavon debut at Mourneview Park on Saturday in the 3-2 defeat by Crusaders.

The former Derry City striker has been out of action since September but he showed enough in this outing to show he will add quality and a pose real goal threat in the Glenavon attack once fully fit.

“It’s been a while since I played a competitive game,” said Mark. “It was in September with City, but after a long wait it is great to make my debut for Glenavon. I know I have been brought here to score goals and hopefully I will do that.”

Farren may not have capped his debut with a goal, but he denied that glory by the Crues keeper who made a great save in the second half.

Glenavon played their part in what was a great game of football and could have ended up 6-6 with so many chances created.
