Glenavon moved into second place in the Premiership thanks to a 2-1 win over Ards on Friday night at Clandeboye Park.
Goals from David Rainey and Kyle Neill saw the Lurgan Blues take the spoils and secure only their second win on a 3G surface.
David Rainey opened the scoring on five minutes for the visitors with a superb strike from 25 yards out that flew past keeper Graeme McKibbin.
On 28 minutes Ards were reduced to ten men with McMillen red carded after an incident with Rainey.
Andy McGrory had a great chance to double Glenavon’s lead but he lashed his shot over the bar from a good position.
The home side were back on level terms shortly into the second half when McClelland got on the end of a pass Scott Davidson.
However, Glenavon were rewarded for their hard work when Neill got the final touch after a flick on by Guy Bates and his goal was enough to secure the points.
Neill was involved in the final action of the game when his free kick was met by Gary Hamilton but the keeper saved his headed attempt on goal.
