Glenavon can secure third place and Europe this weekend.

If Cliftonville fail to get any result against Linfield and Glenavon pick up a win or a draw at The Oval then they will have secured their place in the Europa League.

“Our target was to try and get into Europe via the league rather than have to wait until the cup final,” said manager Gary Hamilton.

“Those hopes took a blow with only one point out of a possible nine, but after the win over Coleraine on Tuesday we are ahead again and it is up to us to try and see it out.

“The only way to approach the match is to not get drawn into what might happen elsewhere - we just have to go out and aim for the three points.

“It was good to see us return to form against Coleraine and the win has given everyone a huge lift. We worked hard to keep a clean sheet and created a number of chances and perhaps should have won by a greater margin.”

Conor Dillon is back after missing the midweek game through suspension and there is good news on David Elebert who is hoping his injury will not keep him out of the cup final squad.

Daniel Kearns continues his fitness build-up, but he will only figure on Saturday if coming through training on Thursday night.
