“We contacted Warrenpoint manager Barry Gray and asked if we could talk to Daniel and we plan to set up a meeting soon.

“There are a number of clubs keen to sign him including Cliftonville, Linfield and Crusaders so we will see what happens.

“We have freed up a bit of money by releasing Darren Forsyth. We took a bit of a gamble with Darren and he took a chance coming to us but it just hasn’t worked out for us. He was a bit unlucky as he was injured for a few weeks, but he had the right attitude and was a great lad to work with and we wish him well in the future.”
