There are no dates as yet for both of Glenavon’s postponed games.
Following the recent abandoned match at Warrenpoint due to floodlight failure the game at Windsor Park agaisnt Linfield on Wednesday was called off at 1.30pm because of a waterlogged pitch.
The next action for Glenavon will be in Rotterdam on Saturday for a friendly against Leonidas.
Manager Gary Hamilton feels the trip will benefit his squad. “Leonidas are a semi-professional team in Holland who have a traditionfor the last 15 years of bringing a team from Ireland over for a friendly.
“Glenavon have been invited a couple of times and haven’t been able to go but we’ve got the opportunity now.
“I’ve been there with Portadown about 10 years ago and it’s probably the best experience I’ve had in Europe.
“Trips for the European competitions can be long but in this trip, they fly you in, give you lunch, you play the match and then they take you out for a meal. They look after you and put you up in a five star hotel.
“It’s all really well done and it’ll be a good experience for the boys who haven’t done it before. It’ll be great for team bonding too.”
