The scoreline does not reflect how close this final was with Dromore more than a match for the Lurgan Blues and indeed they had the best chances in a scoreless first 45 minutes.

It was Daniel Wilson who finally made the breakthrough with a fine finish with 20 minutes to go.

After Matthew Gorman made it 2-0 with a well placed header Lee Newell ended a fine solo run into the box with a deft finish to seal the issue.

There was still time for Glenavon to add two more thanks to an own goal and a well taken effort from Marcus Murphy.

The final scoreline is tough on Dromore but in the end Glenavon fully deserved the spoils.

Well done to manager Mark Pollock and his team for a superb trophy winning season.

Conor McKendry picked up the man of the match award.
