Jonathan Tuffey is looking forward to a new challenge with Glenavon.
The 28-year-old goalkeeper has agreed a two year contract which begins on June 1 with the Lurgan Blues.
“I have been very impressed with Glenavon especially over the last 18 months,” said Tuffey.
“As soon as I was released by Linfield, Gary (Hamilton) was on the phone to me and said he was keen to bring me to the club.
“I have to get into the team first of all and then hopefully I can help the squad kick on.”
Hamilton said it was great to have a player of Tuffey’s quality on board and competition for the number one shirt.
“Johnny knows he has to fight for his place. James McGrath finished the season strongly and it means I now have two players fighting for each position. They can bring the best out of each other.”
