Youth and experiencefor visit of Valley Rangers

The Glenavon team to face Valley Rangers on Tuesday night in the Mid Ulster Cup tie at Mourneview Park will be a mixture of youth and experience.

“The game is a great opportunity for us to give some players game time and also to allow some of the younger lads who have been impressing in Pete Batey’s reserves the chance to be involved,” explained coach Nigel Law.

“While it can be seen as an experimental side, we still expect whatever team we put out to be good enough to hopefully win the tie and progress.”

Goalkeeper James McGrath, Adam Foley, Eddie McCallion, Darren Forsyth and Andrew Hoey, just back from injury, are likely to figure.

Among the emerging talent getting an outing will be Matty O’Lali, Matty Reynolds and Shaney Lavery.

The match kicks-off at 7.45pm.
