NORTHERN Ireland International manager Michael O’Neill paid a visit to the Lurgan Town Arena recently to celebrate the work carried out there already and look forward to the future.

He visited the clubhouse hearing about the club’s development over the last 25 years both on the pitch and off. Along with local league officials whose teams use the venue he viewed the new defibrillator which has kindly been donated to the facility. This defibrillator is available to all teams that use both the Arena complex and the Gordon Playing fields.

He then went on to the pitch to visit the young players who make up the County Armagh Development Squad who train each week on the 3rd generation pitch.

Michael commented, “It is great to meet coaches and officials who put so many voluntary hours into developing football. Because of their hard work Lurgan Town have over 250 players playing each week from Seniors, right down to Under 7’s as well as girls squads and a disability squad. I hope to be back again to see the new developments come to fruition.”
