County Armagh Junior players suffered a second successive group defeat as Donegal Schools eased home by 2-0 today (Tuesday).
Pat McGibbon’s boys kicked off the Milk Cup with a 3-0 reverse to Glasgow Rangers and hopes of greater progress in a derby date against Donegal Schools ended in disappointment with a goal conceded early on.
A second arrived after the break off a corner-kick and deflection.
“It was a poor performance and we just didn’t show the expected desire,” said Dean McCullough, chairman of the County Armagh Milk Cup
Association. “We lost possession for the first goal and the second was a deflection.
“However, even at 1-0 we lacked a real attacking threat and Donegal Schools seemed to want it more than our players.”
County Armagh Juniors: Connor Larkin, Conor Kerr, Tiarnan O’Neill, Eoin Toal, Shea Geraghty, Reese McInerney, Jamie Haughey, Lewis Cowan, Josh McCarten, Eoin McCluskey, Ryan Lewsley.
Co Armagh face Liverpool tomorrow night at Coleraine Showgrounds.
