Dollingstown may have Irish League promotion as the ultimate goal but Gary Duke’s players took another step towards a third successive Marshall Cup prize on Saturday.
This season could prove the final Mid-Ulster campaign if Dollingstown achieve the desired progress. With back-to-back Marshall Cup titles in the trophy cabinet, last weekend’s semi-final defeat of Hanover pushed the holders towards a treble.
“Richie Thompson scored two and hit the post, with Andy Hamilton the other scorer,” said the Dollingstown boss. “We have a proud record in the competition.”
