The ladies all admired the new flags this week and no-one was able to seek them out better than Pam Graham who was the winner with 39 points. Pam is enjoying a good run of form and this gives her back to back wins as well as winning a vital match for the junior foursomes team. Her round started and finished badly with double bogeys at one and eighteen but everything in between was very impressive and her highlight being a birdie at 11.

Another lady playing well is Christine Hagan who added another gross win this week to her collection. Christine had a very steady round with her only blip coming early on at the fourth. The same names come regularly to the fore and Susan McMorrow is one of these as she won section one with 32 points. It was a tale of two halves for Susan with an indifferent front nine but a back nine that was toured in just four over par.

Section two went to Heather Shaw with 38 points who just held off Diana McClleland 37 points and Bernadette Laverty 36 points.

Section three was a tightly contested with Roisin Anderson taking top spot with 38 points. Roisin had a few bad holes early on but managed to steady the ship on the rest of her round with stress free golf. The ladies who just missed out were Margaret O’Neill and new member Jayne Clarke with 37 points. The only two went to Roslyn Millar which came at the long second hole so congratulations to Roslyn.

The three ladies who progress to represent Lurgan in the finals at Dunmurry are Susan McMorrow, Pam Graham and Roisin Anderson. Thanks to Love Coffee Cafe for sponsoring the competition and well done to all the winners. Ladies are reminded that the monthly medal is played on Friday so why not make the most of the weather and get your name down for Friday.
