THE Wednesday Sweep took a big hit with the weather last week as the heavy rain took its toll and only twelve golfers ventured out.
The winner of this depleted competition was John Richardson.
The 12 handicapper took the honours with an excellent total of 35 points on this dreadful day.
A double bogey at the third was John’s only blip on the day. He played splendidly over both sevens to make this return.
Par figures at holes one, five, six and nine were his feature scores on the front side. Pars at holes eleven and fifteen got the back seven underway.
Birdies on holes seventeen and eighteen climaxed a well executed round.
Neale McKinstry with a score of 34 points provided the main opposition.
