Bronze medal for Daniel
Competing at the Irish Open Swimming Championship and Olympic trials over May day weekend, Magheralin twin Daniel Wiffen faced stiff competition against not only the top swimmers in Ireland but also Scotland, Wales and Luxembourg.
Representing Lisburn City Swimming Club, rising star Daniel Wiffen was chasing down international adult level competition in the 1500m Freestyle final, to claim the bronze medal.
A major achievement at 14 years old.
