Martial artists enjoy belt-ing day at grading examinations

A NUMBER of Ballymena martial artists were among Chujo Karate Association members who passed belt grading examinations.

The exams were held last Saturday in Joey Dunlop Leisure Centre Ballymoney.

Members had been tested for the various coloured kyu belts – from 1st Kyu (brown belt with one white stripe) up to 9th Kyu (yellow belt).

All successful applicants had their licences signed and stamped. They also received a certificate to authenticate their new belt status.

In Ballymena, classes continue at Seven Towers Leisure Centre, where beginner's classes are FREE during the month of February.
