Connor the overall winner

THE overall winner of this week’s competition at Silverwood was Conner McNeice with 47 points.

Playing off 8, Conner had 24pts over the front nine with birdies at the 2nd, 4th, 7th and 9th. The back nine was something similar with birdies at the 12th and 16th for 23pts.

With a brace of two’s in the birdie tally it made for a very good days golf.

Second in the low section went to Sean McStay with 43pts. Playing off 7 Sean had 21pts on the outward nine and 22 on the homeward nine. Third place in the 0-12 section was taken by Liam Mackle with 41pts. Playing off 10 Liam had 21pts on the front 9 and 20 over the homeward 9.

The winner of the turkey for the middle section was Frank Gallagher playing off 16 with 45pts. Frank had 24pts on the front 9 and 21 over the back nine.

Second in the section was taken Richard McKee with 43pts. Playing off 15 Richard had 22pts on the outward nine and 21 on the homeward nine. Third in the 13-18 section was Finbar Headley with 42pts. Finbar had 22pts on the front nine and 20 over the back nine.

The winner of the high section 19-28 was Myles Scullion with 42pts. Playing off 26 Myles had 22pts on the front and 20 over the back nine. Second in the section went to Kieran Devlin. Playing off 20 with 41pts Kieran had 23pts on the front nine and 18 on the back nine. Third place was taken by Kieran McAlinden with 40pts. Kieran had 20 on the front nine and 20 on the back nine.

Gross winner this week was Fintan McAreavy with 36 points. Fintan had a level 72 round with 33 on the front and 39 on the back.

Seniors winner this week was Joe Kelly with 41pts. Playing off 21 Joe had 23pts on the front and 18 over the back.

There has been a big swing in the leaderboard of the winter league teams this week with the Bengal Prancers taking a big leap into first place with a lead of 6pts over nearest rivals Summer Goats and Dream Team.
