Cricketers hit the fairways for Classic

A record number of 54 sponsors supported the 12th annual Lurgan Cricket Golf Classic held at sun drenched Lurgan Golf Club.

The winning team was Lee Derby, Gareth Morrison, Chris Metcalf and Paul Stafford. Winner of the individual prize was Alan Hamilton with 38 points just pipping Colin Atkinson into second place and Chris Metcalf into third, both of them scoring 37 points with Chris also capturing the McDowell Cup for Best Placed Club Member.

NCU umpire Kevin McConville claimed the ‘closest to the pin’ prize at the 17th with Brian McCarey winning the ‘longest drive’ prize at the 18th.
