Sean Treacy’s hurlers secured a second successive Armagh junior title on Saturday thanks to success over Killeavy by 1-15 to 1-11.

Daniel Magee set the standard with a commanding personal tally of 1-12 within the memorable victory.

Sean Treacy’s entered the break down by 1-4 to 0-6 but the Lurgan side attacked after the interval and Declan Maher forced a fine save early on.

This sparked a spell on top for Sean Treacy’s as Magee and Patrick Lyness bolstered the points tally.

Patrick Scullion increased the number of Sean Treacy’s players on the scoresheet before Magee closed out his contribution.

Captain Anthony Carville got his hands on the trophy to spark the celebrations.

The club’s under eights and under 10s met in Derrynoose recently for Blitz.

“Our young members are transferring numerous skills picked up over training and doing so with real success,” said a club spokesperson. “Not only are they becoming very successful, they are loving every minute of it.”

Underage training will continue at Tannaghmore Gardens every Friday from 6.30, with everyone welcome and equipment provided.
