The home rink done well to collect six shots over the last four ends but the tough opposition took four which made them rink winners by 22 shots to 13.

Malcolm Lynch, Declan McCabrey, Ivor Mitchell and Harry Cosgrove (skip) played on Rink Two against B. Paylor’s Dromore Three Rink and won 19-12.

Cosgrove’s rink was holding its own and the score was even at 7-7 after the ninth.

The home rink bowled extremely well for the remainder of the ends picking up a magnificent 11 shots against two for Dromore Three to eventually win the rink 19-12, but even with this great performance it was not good enough to win the match outright for Lurgan One who ended up with four points being one rink down.
