THE milder weather is bringing more fish to the top of the water at Islandderry Fishery.
The bigger trout are still on the move with David Robson releasing trout at 8lb, 6lb and 5lb while Gareth Strain, Waringstown was fishing his own olive trying to catch and release super trout at 13lbs, 9lbs, 7lbs and 6lbs.
The Hollow Springs lake was also fishing well to a Yellow Dancer and Buzzers for Blackskull angler Paul Sinnamon who released 15 trout on his own patterns.
The next competition at the Fishery will be the Easter competitions, seniors on main lake on Easter Monday and juniors on Hollow Springs lake on Easter Tuesday.
Also in April is the return of the Teggart Memorial Competition in aid of Cystic Fybrosis on April 21, which consists of both a fly fishing competition on the main lake and for the bait anglers there will be a bait competition on the Hollow Springs lake with plenty of prizes and craic for both!
