LURGAN Tigers mini-rugby starts back this Saturday, at Pollock Park, between 9.30am and 11am.
Children from P2 up to P7 are welcome to go along and play rugby in a safe and controlled environment, under the supervision of qualified mini-rugby coaches.
Parents and guardians can register their children on Saturday morning from 9.00am. Registration fee £50 for the whole season with concessions for siblings and Tigers cricket members.
The Tigers mini-rugby has gone from strength to strength over the past few years with now well in excess of 100 children registered. This success is in a large part due to the support of main sponsor, Moy Park, who are continuing to sponsor the Tigers for a third year.
Rugby Development Officer Graeme Hunter outlined how valuable the support of Moy Park has been. “Moy Park have been sponsoring the Tigers for the past three years and this has enabled the club to employ a development officer to go into numerous local schools on both sides of the community, both primary and secondary, to coach children and encourage them to come to the Tigers to play rugby.”
