NUTTS Corner Circuit will be alive once again this Saturday for the opener of the Ulster Karting Club new season of races.

To add some kick to the start of the year, this Saturday’s opener will be a one day title meeting for the prestigious Ulster Cup.

All classes will be competing from Junior Cadets to senior non gearbox machines but one of the highlights will be the incredibly fast Superkarts. The 250cc machines are capable of 150mph with Formula One acceleration and the Superkart drivers on the day will be competing for points in the opening round of the Northern Ireland Superkart Championships.

In the run up to this Saturday’s opener, Dollingstown’s Daniel Conlon received recently the NI Driver of the year award at a gala dinner. Daniel won’t forget that award either as it was presented by two of the top motorsport stars in the country Kris Meeke from rallying and William Dunlop from motorcycling.
