THE hockey girls at Waringstown Primary School are the best in Northern Ireland after they were recently crowned champions.

After securing the Mid-Ulster trophy the girls travelled to Lisnagarvey Hockey Club for the Northern Ireland Championships where they defeated Victoria, Ballyholme, Cookstown, Ben Madigan, Carryduff, Dromore and Spires to reach the final.

In a very exciting final Waringstown defeated Fairview 2-0.
