Once again it was a challenging day last Saturday on the Silverwood course with heavy showers and strong wind but this didn’t stop the players returning some great scores.

In first place was Patrick Lavery with an excellent 42 points. He had a brilliant front nine of two under gross which equalled 23 points with two birdies on the 3rd and 5th holes with all other holes played in par. His back nine included six pars and only three bogeys on the 12th, 15th and 16th holes for 19 points and a winning total of 42.

Second was Michael McDonald with 41 points. His front nine included one birdie at the 7th hole, four pars at the 2nd, 4th, 6th and 8th holes, two bogeys at 3rd and 9th holes and a double bogey at the 5th hole with no score at the first hole for 19 points. His back nine of 22 points included 5 pars with the remaining holes played in 1 over par.
