It was the first stoke competition of the year at Silverwood Golf Club and the weather was very challenging with strong winds up to gale force at times and soft going on the fairways.

The winner with a net 67 was Colm Doyle, he had a solid front nine with only three bogeys at the 1st, 3rd and 6th holes and six pars for a front nine of 38.

However, his back nine reflected the difficultly of the course with the strong winds and he had one double bogey at the 11th hole, one par at the 12th hole, one birdie at the 18th hole and six single bogeys at the remaining holes for a 45 back nine but this was still good enough to win by two clear shots.

In second place was Conor Hutchinson with a net 69. Conor had a front nine of 43 with three pars at the 2nd, 6th and 9th holes, four bogeys and two double bogeys at the 1st and 3rd holes.
