Tennis club fund-raiser a big success

BALLYMENA Lawn Tennis Club's recent fund-raising round-robin competition in aid of pet charity PDSA proved a great success.

The PDSA offer free veterinary services to all those owners of pets who cannot afford medical treatment for their animals. Ballymena Lawn Tennis Club annually select a charity they would like to support and have great enjoyment being able to hold such events.

The Club Events Team headed up by Karen Cherry and Michael Scott did a super job as usual arranging prizes for the players as well as refreshments which went down a treat throughout the morning.

At the conclusion of the event, club chairman Fergus Barklie was delighted to present Bronya Magill, representing PDSA, with just over 100 from the morning’s activities.

Anyone interested in joining Ballymena Lawn Tennis Club can come along and have a free try on Tuesday or Thursday evenings or Saturday morning.

Further details are available on the club website www.ballymenatennis.co.uk
