We Need To Move On After French Farce - Cian Healy

Waiting for Video...

Ireland rugby star Cian Healy’s amongst the country’s international rugby stars trying to get their head around one of the most bizarre weeks ever in the sport.

Thousands of Irish fans who made the trip to the Stade de France were left disappointed by the late cancellation of last Saturdays SixNations encounter and are still awaiting news on refunds and ticketing arrangements for the proposed new date.

The Irish Rugby Football Union meanwhile has expressed its disappointment with the decision by the Six Nations Council to reschedule the postponed game for Sunday, 4th March.

“While understanding the difficulties that a postponed game brings to the international and club rugby schedule, the IRFU had proposed to

the Six Nations that the preferred alternate date for the game was Saturday, 3rd March with an afternoon kick off.

This was based on providing the Ireland team, who will be travelling for a second time to Paris, with a seven day turnaround between its

remaining four fixtures in the tournament as well as providing any supporters wishing to attend the rescheduled game with an appropriate window of travel.” the IRFU said in a statement.

“Both proposed dates were discussed by the Six Nations Council, but the decision was taken by the majority of the Council to proceed with

the date of March 4th.” Berocca Performance ambassador Cian Healy and the rest of the squad now face the prospect of 4 international weekends in a row due to the compressed schedule and now wants to put the whole saga behind him and focus on Italy as Ireland look to bounce back from the opening championship defeat to Wales.
