Two family duos on the board

THE Glenavon board now contains two family duos as father and son, Tom and Kenny Cardwell, join along with Trevor Harvey, father of the board’s only female member Julie.

Lifelong supporter John Sinnamon was also elected onto the board at Tuesday evening’s AGM whilst existing members Adrian Teer, Trevor Harper, Frazer Follis, Julie Harvey, Stevie Campbell and Eddie Drury MBE were re-elected and vice-chairman Hubert Watson officially stood down.

At the following first meeting of the new board, Trevor Harper was elected to replace Watson as vice-chairman whilst Adrian Teer was re-elected as chairman and Frazer Follis was again voted in as treasurer.

Teer welcomed all of the new additions to the board as the workload for directors increases.

He said: “The four are all welcome additions to the board. They will help to spread the workload as it increases at board level. It has been no secret that we have more to do with domestic licenses, health and safety and the general running of the club.

“The new members also bring fresh ideas and approaches to the board, as well as an administration background, which can only be a good thing.”
