Worst display since new boss took over

THAT performance wasn’t good enough at all but I’m sure the players all know that.

There weren’t too many players who can really take anything from the game. Brendan Shannon and Kyle Cherry had good second halves and Niall Henderson tried to pass it about a bit but that was about it really.

We didn’t look like scoring too often and Ballymena probably should have bagged a few more than they did. The goals they got came from poor defending. We gifted them the first one and then should have cleared it quicker before giving away the penalty. It seems to be just the odd lapse in concentration that is costing our defence.

We were over-run in midfield too and didn’t offer much up top; it was just a poor performance all over. If we keep playing like that, it’ll be tough for us to stay up.

It was the worst performance we’ve had since Gary (Hamilton) took over but hopefully it will be a bit of a wake-up call. We’re not going to stay up automatically, we need to perform in every game between now and the end of the season if we’re going to make it.
