PENNY Parker will now be able to tick Time to Talk off her 'to do' list.
Dollingstown dog lover Penny - assistant licensing officer at Craigavon Borough Council - bears a lot of similar traits to Monica from Friends.

If she wasn't doing what she's doing now Penny would love to put her list making skills to good use as
a wedding planner.

She's already had some experience - meticulously planning her own wedding day, which was her perfect day if she does say so herself.

Penny's job as Craigavon's assistant licensing officer sees her enforcing the council's licensing and regulatory functions. She also deputises for the council's dog warden.

Her love for dogs has helped her organise a new dog obedience programme for children in association with Dogs Trust called Scallywags at Lurgan Park.

The scheme - Scallywags - opened this Wednesday with classes for children aged between eight and 15 and their pet dogs.

Scallywags will run for four weeks and will teach children and their dogs valuable lessons, and also give the children a chance to really bond with their pets.

As you'd expect Penny has two dogs of her own - Jack Russell cross-breeds named Homer and Bert.

28-year-old Penny, originally from Aghalee, has been working with Craigavon Council since she was 16.

She now lives in Dollingstown with her husband Alan, originally from Stoneyford - but a new addition to the household is due in September with Penny expecting her first child.

Penny and Alan are childhood sweethearts having met at Crumlin High School.
