FROM:- Old But Not Blind
Last year the Provos and Sinn Fein backed policing, we thought fascism was behind us and people could at last think for themselves on whether or not to seek police help if they needed it.

Recently, however, we have had people coming to our doors promoting themselves as a new alternative to the police. Are the people of North Lurgan to be condemned to more years of paramilitary 'justice'?

Most disturbing of it all is that in the midst of those promising to end all our anti-social woes is a group of individuals whose own past earned them such a reputation of criminality from their own ranks.

Now that they are freelance I would warn people not to be fooled by their talk of working for the common good - to have these people policing the areas would be like having the SS policing the Warsaw ghetto. We have enough problems in North Lurgan we don't need more thugs stamping their idea of authority.
