I wish to reply to your article printed in last weeks edition of the Lurgan Mail, concerning the erection of posters and flyers by Republican Network for Unity.
As a member of RNU and one of those involved in the erection of the posters, I take exception to the implied and scurrilous accusation that the modus operandi to this campaign was to ward off other dissidents, as made by your republican source.
Obviously a throwaway comment emanating from an office located in North Street.
Surely parents and residents have a right to know that drug dealers are peddling their wares in the local community.
Is the poster campaign not a more humane and viable alternative to beatings and expulsions? Which consistently Sinn Fein tell us are abhorrent and uncalled for.
However, we will be continuing and enhancing our campaign against those involved in the drugs trade so as to ensure they can no longer sell their wares.
