PROFESSIONAL footballer Conor Hagan is in forward position to open the International Bar this weekend.
The Glenavon player will officially open the doors at 7pm on Friday night.
The 30-year-old with his mum Imelda have big plans for the bar and lounge with live bands and comedy nights planned for the future.
Backed by lottery millionaire Peter Lavery, the International will also be serving a full A La Carte menu and Christmas dinners.
“In this time of recession it is good to see a business opening and not closing,” said Imelda.
“We are trying to bring back a little fun to our town. We hope to satisfy all age groups and we aim to please all our customers.
“We will be serving hot food from Thursday to Sunday and are hoping to bring back Super Sundays,” she said.
“We will be showing all live sports and all teams are welcome,” said Conor.
