Belfast’s very own annual comedy festival, Belly Laughs, returns for it’s second outing from September 25.

American comic Ruby Wax will be performing two gigs on Wednesday, September 25 and Thursday, September 26 at the Belfast Waterfront Studio.

Fresh from his triumph as host of Channel 4’s critically acclaimed entertainment show ‘The Last Leg’, Australian funny man Adam Hills will also be performing on September 26 at the Ulster Hall.

Leading local comedian Paddy McDonnell will show you the funnier side of Belfast’s sights on a series of comedy bus tours on Friday, September 27, Saturday, September 28, Friday, October 4 and Friday, October 5.

Laughs will be provided by Belfast-based stand-up Jake O’Kane at the Crumlin Road Jail on Australia’s Bec Hill will be at The Sunflower on Saturday, September 28, with the highly acclaimed Stewart Lee at the Grand Opera House the next night.

Rap and comedy act Abandoman will be at the Empire Music Hall on Monday, September 30.

On the 2nd October, local historian Jim McDowell will highlight the golden age of early theatre with recordings of some of the iconic performers that graced Belfast stages.

Thunderfinger, a new comedy show written and performed by Rachael McCabe, John Kelly and Stephen Beggs, with Cathy Brennan-Bradley and Mark Claney will be in The Black Box on Friday, October 4.

Saturday, October 5 will see two stand up veterans at two separate venues; Phil Jupitus at Belfast Waterfront Studio and Ardal O’Hanlon at Belfast Waterfront Auditorium.

Finally on October 6, returning to the Baby Grand Studio at the Grand Opera House, The Full Irish is a sharp, witty, comedy sketch show that pokes a fun at lovingly held customs and beliefs that surround the language.

The tours are organised in association with leading tour operator Belfast City Sightseeing.
