Kodaline to headline 2FM Xmas Ball in aid of ISPCC

RTÉ 2FM's Breakfast Republic have announced the return of The 2FM Xmas Ball, which will take place at 3Arena on Saturday December 3.

Following the success of last year’s event, which raised over €430,000, RTÉ 2FM and MCD have come together again to host the biggest Xmas Ball yet in aid of the ISPCC.

Headliners Kodaline will be joined by Picture This, The Academic, All Tvvins, Brian Deady and Áine Cahill, to perform live on the night. Fresh from their success at the Electric Picnic, 2FM’s Jenny Greene and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra also will perform a very special set. The 2FM Xmas Ball will be hosted by all 2FM presenters including Nicky Byrne & Jenny Greene, Eoghan McDermott, Bernard O’Shea, Jennifer Zamparelli and Keith Walsh, Tracy Clifford and more.

Caroline Downey, President of The ISPCC and producer of the 2FM Xmas Ball, said: “We are thrilled that so many fantastically talented Irish artists are coming together for the second 2FM Xmas ball in aid of the ISPCC. We are indebted to RTÉ 2FM and the Irish Music Industry for supporting vulnerable Irish children through their support of the ISPCC and the Childline Service. Our motto is NEVER GIVE UP ON A CHILD. EVER.”

Head of RTÉ 2FM, Dan Healy said: “We’re absolutely thrilled that we can join with MCD again this year to present the ball and support the ISPCC with this brilliant event. Not only does it give 2FM a great opportunity to support this wonderful charity – it also gives us the opportunity to reinforce our ongoing support of great Irish artists and Irish music. We are full of admiration for the work of the team at the ISPCC. It’s guaranteed to be a great event raising money for a hugely important charity!”

All parties involved with the 2FM Xmas Ball are providing their services free of charge on the night including artists, organisers and 3Arena. The complete funding of the concert goes towards the financial support and aid of the 24 hour phone-line and the ISPCC services dedicated to helping children.
