Almac applies to build new multi-million pound unit

Global pharmaceutical firm Almac has applied to build a multi-million pound new building at its headquarters in Craigavon.

The application, which was submitted to Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Council on April 16 this year, proposes to build a new manufacturing unit.

The company aims to build a unit at Seagoe Industrial Estate measuring around 8.000sq m and which would include storage, offices and staff facilities.

The application includes site works incorporating alterations to existing access roads, paths and car parking.

The firm plans an online consultation which will take place via its website www.almacgroup.com/planning-hub The website is not yet live but will open from 13th May 2021 for a period of 4 weeks.

Almac has been in the Craigavon area for more than 53 years and employs more than 5,000 employees across the globe.
